Many SMEs are not large enough to warrant the costs of employing a full time HR presence, but at some point, everyone needs a helping hand, and this is where we can help, allowing business owners and managers to get on with the day-to-day running of their business.

This local branch provides support to businesses across the North East, from Darlington to Durham and up to South Newcastle.

**Main Duties**:
This role is responsible for providing HR advice and guidance to business owners and managers across a wide range of issues. This can include:

- Attendance Management
- Training and Development
- Performance Management
- Restructure and Redundancy
- Employee Engagement
- Disciplinary and Grievance
- Recruitment
- Project work

You will be part of a team and carry your own client base. You will also work with the Director to support special projects. We therefore require you to be flexible and versatile.

**Qualifications and experience required for this role**:

- CIPD Level 5 Qualified or equivalent experience (in which case, support will be provided to work towards Level 5)
- Previous experience within a fast-moving environment
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle is required to enable visit client sites
- High level of interpersonal skills, placing high importance on integrity
- Flexibility and adaptability with the ability to deal with conflicting priorities
- Strong communicator - excellent verbal, written and strong telephone communication skills
- Ability to build relationships quickly
- Self-starter, able to manage multiple projects at once
- Focused on delivering results whilst maintaining excellent customer service and quality standards
- Resourceful, proactive and able to initiate activity
- Positive and emotionally resilient
- Team player - we are small team and need to help each other out
- Regular use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

**Job Type**:
Full-time hours are 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday). However, flexible options may be available. This role is predominantly home-based with travel across the North-East of England when required.
