Position Overview
The Projects and Infrastructure division is tasked with overseeing construction initiatives across all campuses that comprise the Durham University estate.
This team is responsible for managing a substantial capital program from its inception to its successful completion, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
The enhancement of facilities not only supports academic endeavors but also enriches the student experience.
As the Senior Business Information Project Manager, your role will involve establishing and executing a standardized and comprehensive approach to capital project delivery.
You will serve as the principal technical authority, ensuring that all projects and programs are managed through a robust and efficient framework of processes, from initiation to completion.
Your responsibilities will also include leading the development and implementation of Projects and Infrastructure Business Information Management Systems (BIMS), overseeing the procurement and management of external consultants as necessary to design, consult, procure, and deliver a system that serves as a 'single source' for the P&I team and broader university stakeholders.
Additionally, your role will encompass line management duties and participation in the Senior Management Team within the Projects and Infrastructure division.
The Estates and Facilities Directorate is responsible for delivering essential services to Durham University, managing, maintaining, and enhancing the infrastructure and building fabric across various campuses.
