Job Summary

We are looking for a CNC Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our busy and modern CNC machine shop in Durham. As a CNC Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all parts produced meet drawing requirements, completing quality records, and maintaining processes and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Work safely at all times
  • Ensure all parts produced meet drawing requirements
  • Complete check sheets as Quality record
  • Complete OEE sheets to aid continuous improvement
  • Prevention of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) contamination
  • Create/update set up sheets as required
  • Appropriate use of PPE
  • Monitoring production flow
  • Maintain processes & procedures
  • Maximising cycle times
  • Keeping machines running and meeting OEE targets
Requirements
  • Time served apprentice in CNC Machining
  • Minimum 5 years experience of billet work.
  • Must be competent at programming/editing NC programs
  • Ability to read and follow aerospace protocols and achieve/maintain high levels of quality
  • Ability to set and run CNC machines
  • Experience in managing several shop floor machinists, both skilled & semi-skilled
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Motivate and drive workforce
  • Be a problem solver – investigate, advise & recommend solutions
Working Hours and Salary

This is a working supervisor position with a competitive salary of £20 hourly rate, negotiable on experience, plus 20% shift allowance paid on both shifts. Overtime is available and paid at 1.5 times the standard rate. The company promotes flexible working hours.

The working hours are as follows: Twin SHIFT: 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 11.25pm Mon-Thurs alternating shifts, and 6am - 12pm Friday (Early shift only). Both 36.33 hrs per week.
