**Hours: 22.5 - 37 hours pw flexible on days (Term time only, 41 weeks)**

**We’re looking for such a person to support the coordination and delivery of our Peer Support Mentoring and Mental Health Education in schools.**

**This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has experience of working in schools (or with children and young people) around mental health and wellbeing. You will require a positive can-do attitude and excellent communication skills, with confidence in communicating with senior school staff and key stakeholders. Strong admin skills are also a must. You’ll join a professional team and have opportunities for personal and career development.**

As the role involves travel you’ll need access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance (work related mileage will be paid). Alternative travel arrangements will be considered.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To support the coordination and delivery of our Mental Health Education Service across schools in Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire
- To carry out all administrative tasks associated with our service, which includes keeping accurate, up-to-date records, taking bookings and inputting evaluations.
- To support our Children and Young People’s Services Team Lead in the design, promotion, implementation and delivery of our Peer Support in schools’ service.
- Keep statistical records of all training work undertaken and provide high quality reports as required.
- Keep up-to-date with research and developments regarding mental health and wellbeing and/or have a bearing on the work of Buckinghamshire Minds’ training provision.
- Work with the Finance Manager to ensure that invoices are issued and paid within agreed timeframes.
- Lead by example; inspiring and motivating the young people we work with.
- Lead on the development of new sessions focussed on both mental health awareness and wellbeing to achieve agreed impact and budgetary targets.
- Create a non-judgemental, positive and welcoming atmosphere within Buckinghamshire Mind training provision.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, support staff and external agencies and stakeholders to promote awareness about our services.
- To undertake any other duties as reasonably required for the success of the role.

- Has experience of the issues affecting hard to reach and excluded groups of children and young people (E)
- Has experience of safeguarding issues related to children and young people (D)
- Has experience of delivering training to young people (D)
- Has experience of working within a school environment (D)
- Has excellent communication skills and is confident communicating with senior school staff and key stakeholders (E)
