Working as a key member of our UK HR Services Team, and reporting to the UK HR Payroll Manager, we are looking for a customer service-oriented admin to support activities related to payroll processing for our UK population. This role will be part of the UK Payroll Team and is responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant payroll taxation for approximately 10,000 employees.
Overall our team’s objective is to provide efficient process execution, effective issue resolution and accurate HR time and payroll data in support of an excellent customer experience.
**Your focus will be on**
- Passion to create a great support customer experience
- Translate business payroll requests into mass upload templates of payroll input, submit them to the payroll vendor for processing, ensure prompt processing, and validate accurate processing via auditing procedures
- Ensure payroll vendor receives all payroll instructions in a timely manner, reconcile instructions sent against vendor reports
- Respond to payroll tickets raised through the Service Now platform
- Research and resolve employee pay and time issues
- Monitor, review and update all employee absence including liaising with managers to ensure employees are paid correctly.
- Use the HR knowledge base and internal work instructions to ensure that processes are executed correctly, and customer guidance is provided in an effective and consistent manner
- Support HR Operations Lead and wider HR Operations & Solutions team with special projects as directed. Conduct ad hoc analyses as applicable. Provide support for critical HR initiatives as needed
- Look for opportunities to improve process execution and technology usage, working with HR Operations Lead to prioritise and implement improvements
**You will bring the following knowledge, skills & experience...**
- Experience supporting HR processes and transactions, ideally in Workday
- Desirable experience of UK payroll legislation including Statutory Leave (e.g. SSP, SMP)
- Keen attention to detail and focus on data accuracy
- Understanding of common HR and service centre enabling technologies - e.g. case management, telephony and online user portals
- Able to communicate fluently in English
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing tasks efficiently and prioritise workload within a matrix team environment
- Enjoys working as part of a lively and hard-working team, performing together under pressure to meet monthly payroll deadlines
- Highly developed communications, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work with confidential data
- Experience of delivering against Service Level agreements, including working with third party providers to meet work deadlines
- Ability to think analytically and effectively problem solve using creative solutions
- Service focused with a “can do attitude” - dedicated to providing excellent customer service
