Accounts Assistant

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and highly respected company within the Construction sector.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Subcontractor ledger - invoice processing, CIS returns.
- Processing weekly BACS payments.
- Accounts payable.
- Accounts receivable.
- Cash Management.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Dealing with general enquiries.
- Year-end processes and assisting Auditors.
- System maintenance and development.
- Assistance with costings.
- Other ad-hoc accounts and administrative tasks as required.

**Skills, Attributes & Qualifications**:

- Ability to positively contribute within a small friendly finance team working in a demanding environment.
- A professional attitude with excellent organisational skills to prioritise own workload.
- A thorough, methodical, and logical approach demonstrating problem solving skills to complete tasks when required.
- Accurate data entry skills demonstrating a high level of diligence.
- Actively seek ways to enhance your knowledge and contribute and support the team looking for continuous process improvements.
- Have a positive can-do attitude.
- Previous experience in the construction industry and dealing with subcontractors would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.

In return, the role offers a competitive salary (negotiable depending on skills, knowledge, and experience) plus an attractive company pension, free on-site parking, and generous holiday allowance.

Full time working hours (08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday, Friday 08:00 - 16:00)
