We began as a social landlord providing homes in West Lindsey. Now we provide over 7,000 affordable homes across the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber. Our homes include ones for affordable rent, Shared Ownership, people aged 55 and over and supported housing - but now, we do so much more. In addition, there are over 4,000 learners a year are supported in local communities stretching from Sheffield to Mablethorpe - with everything from entry level qualifications, arts and wellbeing courses through to employability support to help people fulfil their potential. This is through Riverside Training, our employment and skills team, and CLIP, an education provider.

This role is for 20 hours per week_**

**As a Finance Assistant, a typical day might include**:

- Processing and matching of supplier invoices and credit notes
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Processing and addressing urgent queries and ensuring these are resolved in a timely manner
- The posting of cash receipts received in an accurate and timely manner
- The posting of all monies received for rent through housing benefit and direct debits to customer accounts in our housing management system
- Ensuring all cashbook payments are entered into our finance system on time
- Carrying out the processing of purchase ledger transactions in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
- Being the first point of contact for customer enquiries, and ensuring accurate recording of conversations in our customer relationship management system
- Any other duties, consistent with the above, that may be required from time to time

**Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you**:

- Some knowledge of financial and management accounting
- Evidence of a great customer service ethos, with experience of dealing with a wide range of customers, suppliers and other external agencies
- Attention to detail and accuracy, and complete all tasks to a high standard
- Experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Office

**What will make you stand out from the crowd**:

- An appreciation of the social housing sector
- AAT qualified, or working towards would be ideal but not essential
- An organised individual who is capable of planning and monitoring varied workloads, with the ability to work to deadlines
