We are looking for a passionate, curious and motivating industry professional to join our team as a Head of Quality to share their expertise and coach high performing teams.

**Summary of role**

Lead the team to evaluate and develop the quality of education across the provision including devolved, subcontracting and manged services.

Drive the continuous improvements to our education provision, supporting the development of our Skills Coaches, Specialist Trainers, managers and curriculum team to provide our learners with an inspirational learning experience. Play a key role in improving the quality of delivery to ensure that Babington meets the requirements of external regulators.

**Brief summary of principle accountabilities**
- Keep abreast of best practice relating to teaching, learning and assessment, including pedagogical developments and changes to the inspection framework, and disseminate the information within the organisation.
- Work with our stakeholders to contribute to the design and implementation of the Quality Improvement Strategy, self-assessment and improvement planning processes in preparation for inspections and reviews.
- Implement aspects of the Quality Improvement Strategy, including initial training, induction, teacher and colleague development and evaluation activities to secure improvement to our provision.
- Be fully conversant with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development.
- Implement and communicate policies linked to the development of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Support and work collaboratively with Quality Kite marks such as Matrix, ISO, IIP and leaders in safeguarding.
- Produce and maintain a library of inhouse training materials to support individual training needs.
- Complete face to face and remote observations of teaching and learning evaluating the quality of education and learning experience with clear developmental verbal and written feedback.
- Coach and mentor delivery staff requiring additional support to improve delivery and learner experience to a minimum of good.
- Manage teaching, learning and assessment systems to record, analyse and evaluate the quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, identifying areas for development and leading on training solutions and the work of the delivery staff.
- Line manage the Teaching and Learning Team, identifying training needs and development opportunities to support the development of the wider organisation.
- Work with People and Talent in the ongoing development of both new and existing colleagues through the promotion of and referral to the Accelerate and Evolve programmes.

**Qualifications**
- Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent **(E)**:

- Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (or equivalent) teaching qualification **(E)**:

- Level 2 Functional Skills qualification or equivalent **(E)**:

- Level 4 Certificate in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice **(E)**

**Skills and experience**
- Conversant with Ofsted Education Inspection Framework ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development** (E)**:

- Evidence of accurately evaluating teaching and learning through Observations and/or Learning Walks **(E)**:

- Evidence of providing innovative training to support teaching and learning professional development. **(E)**:

- Experience of delivering good or better Apprenticeship/work-based learning outcomes within the last two years. **(E)**:

- Experience of leading work-based learning quality assurance and quality improvement activities **(E)**:

- Experience of leading face to face and remote observations and making judgments in line with the standards identified in the current Education Inspection Framework** (E)**:

- Knowledge of current thinking regarding effective pedagogy, best practice and teaching and learning research and the impact of these on the quality of learning. **(E)
