**Management Accountant - 10 week contract**

**Salary;** £25.64 per hour
**Working hours**; 15 - 25 hours per week

**Qualifications needed**; CIMA, ACCA or ACA. Newly qualified is fine as well as long term experience.

**Main**
- Core reporting of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow to the executive team as part of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of business performance. Drafting insightful supplementary analysis, including variances tobudget, forecast, prior year etc.
- Key input into Planning & Forecasting financial model, ensuring accuracy of the primary profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts and underlying calculations.
- Liquidity management - maintenance of rolling 12 week cashflow forecast and longer term outlook, effective management of all bank, savings and credit card accounts.
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliation process - ensuring all accounts are reconciled and reviewed, with robust controls giving assurance of balance sheet accuracy.
- Management of the year end audit process, to deliver an on-time and efficient audit.
- Ownership of all aspects of Corporation Tax and VAT, with support from external advisors where appropriate.
- Line management of accounts assistant, ensuring inputting is accurate, correct and timely, developing skills and behaviors where applicable
- Line management of accounts payable, ensuring effective supplier relations, and robust purchase ordering and approvals processes across the business.
- Driving cost savings across the business by challenging spend and alternative ways of working/delivering
- Management and maintenance of the internal controls framework, and ownership of key supporting policy documents. In particular, ownership of revenue recognition policy documents that accurately reflect the diverse and complex revenue streams of the business.

- Undertake any training relevant to the efficient execution of any of the above duties and take responsibility for his/her own professional development
- Undertake necessary Health and Safety responsibilities and duties as required by this post
- Undertake any necessary data protection responsibilities and duties as required by the post
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities as directed by Line Management from time to time
- Ensure the office is clean and tidy and clear desk policy is adhered to.
