East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work, delivering essential local services and making a real difference to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.

Working within the Housing Maintenance team you will work closely with Housing teams to arrange access to properties for a wide variety of purposes. These can include statutory inspections and servicing, essential repairs, improvement works and surveys. Spending a high proportion of your time visiting tenants and engaging with them, removing the barriers which stop our staff and contractors from gaining access to their homes.

Visiting properties across our district, you will be responsible for organising your own appointments and liaising with the tenants via telephone or letter to announce your visit in advance.

You must have the ability to build trust/rapport with residents and have previous experience of working in a customer focussed role and effective record/document management.

You will hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and have excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
