About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join our team at Willing Care. As a Deputy Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in the management of our nursing services, working closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the nursing services in liaison with the Home Manager, ensuring effective induction of new nursing staff and providing ongoing clinical supervision.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of nursing care, working within NMC and CQC standards, alongside internal policies and procedures.
  • Plan, direct, and deliver high-quality person-centred care through the care planning process, ensuring the needs of our residents are met.
  • Oversee all aspects of medicine management, ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored, and administered.
  • Undertake staff reviews through supervision, appraisals, and team meetings, ensuring staff are up-to-date with current practices and good practice developments.
  • Take an active role in training the team of nurses, maintaining accurate and relevant documentation and reports to reflect practice and planned development.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Home Manager, ensuring continuity of care and management.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN/RMN)
  • Active NMC PIN
  • Clear DBS
  • Good working knowledge of CQC regulations
  • Proven track record of leading a nursing team and delivery of person-centred care, including care planning
