Accounts Assistant

Due to the retirement of a long standing senior member of our accountancy team, we are looking for a full time Accounts Assistant to join our team in our busy Golden Square office.

Responsibilities include managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department not limited to:

- Daily input of financial postings
- Electronic transfers including chaps/faster payments/international payment
- Assistance with legal cashroom activities including reconciling the clients and firms bank accounts, making payments, reviewing cash statements, posting cash receipts and cash payments to the client account system
- Allocating funds and payment of purchase prices, loan redemptions, free proceeds and posting
- Time management and priority setting
- Month and year-end process
- Oversight of month end procedures; ensuring required timelines are met
- Maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Where possible make efficiency proposals, prevent mistakes by sufficient internal control procedures and foresee risks

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
