Winifred 2 is looking to recruit a Clinical educator. We are looking for an enthusiastic 1st level registered nurse with a passion for training and development of new and existing staff.
You will be promoting the delivery of high standards of care, ensuring the nursing team have the skills and knowledge required to care for our complex Upper Gastrointestinal patients.
You are required to have 2 years experience in a surgical setting and a mentor qualification is preferable, along with a keen interest in teaching and supporting staff. Previous experience in Clinical education is desirable.
You will have evidence of leadership skills and will be a strong role model within the team.

**Main duties of the job**:
You will be responsible for the induction and preceptorship of new RNs, RNAs and HCAs, ensuring they are supported on the ward.
Ensuring staff have the skills and knowledge to care for Upper GI patients is a key aspect of the role. This will require medical devices training, supporting people through clinical skills packages including IV medication, PCA and Epidural care and TPN management. Formal / informal teaching and assessment will be an essential part of the role.
You will be working clinically alongside staff to help them to achieve their objectives.

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
