Leicestershire Country Council are looking for a Purchasing Person to join them at their Croft site.

The role is to hire, lease or purchase items of plant and materials associated with road and highways work.

Therefore, they are looking for someone who has previous purchasing or contract management experience of building and road materials together with mechanical plant, all used in the repair, maintenance and build of highways and construction projects.

Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Previous purchasing experience.

Previous purchase of building products experience.

Previous experience of hiring or leasing mechanical plant.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and databases.

Previous experience of working with financial systems (Knowledge of Oracle would be an advantage)

Planning, analysing and problem-solving experience.

GCSE Grade A - C or NVQ level 2 equivalent.

Working Monday to Friday paying £12.69 per hour.

**Salary**: From £12.69 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Leicester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Procurement: 1 year (required)
- Purchasing: 1 year (required)
