ADS Laser is a family run business and is the premier metal laser cutting, precision folding, fabricating and finishing company in the U.K. From Bespoke to Volume Solutions, we have the capability of working from design through to project completion on a wide range of projects from intricately designed Point of Sale materials to volume components. These find their way into Rail systems for Siemens, Trains for Tfl, Apartment Balconies for Sapphire and sales aids for L’Ancome Fragrances. DUE TO CONTINUED EXPANSION WE’RE HIRING

Vacant Job Position: Buyer / Purchaser

Key Responsibilities
- Negotiating/Expediting of Purchase Orders to ensure ADS Laser Limited receive material within agreed lead times
- Acknowledge and react to purchasing requests in an efficient & timely manner
- Obtain quotes from suppliers to obtain the best value
- Negotiate better prices where possible
- Maintain strong relationships with current vendors and build relationships with potential vendors
- Create purchase orders on Sage and ensure order acknowledgements
- Create new product codes where required
- Print copy of purchase order and note the time and date the p/o was sent
- Follow up to vendors with phone call to confirm p/o has been received
- Check order confirmations are correct
- Confirm lead time on all orders and follow up to ensure orders are delivered on time
- Ensure materials price spreadsheet is kept up to date
- Produce and circulate weekly/monthly stock/purchasing reports
- Scan in previous job packs
- To work efficiently and effectively towards departmental KPIs
- All other administrative duties associated with purchasing including booking jobs onto Sage / Hubspot / Trutops, scanning, filing etc
- Providing holiday and absence cover for administration staff

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
- Purchasing experience required in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience in fabrication / manufacturing and awareness of materials such as sheet metal, aluminum
- Strong communication and negotiating skills
- Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude
- Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality
- Able to work on & use own initiative & problem solve
- Strong communication, team working & people skills
- Demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude
- Act with integrity & honesty
- Positive attitude to innovation & change
