Leicester, United Kingdom PMA GROUP Full time

PMA GROUP is seeking a Buyer to join our team in Leicester.

**Duties of a Manufacturing Buyer**:

- Negotiating best prices with overseas and domestic suppliers.
- Prolong excellent relationships with the existing suppliers and research potential new suppliers.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends.
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing requirements.
- Using ACCESS ACCOUNTING to create the orders, keep a hard copy of the Purchase Order and note when it was given.
- Stay in touch with the suppliers as required to confirm or change orders throughout the whole process from creating the order to receiving it.
- Track orders and ensure timely deliveries to maintain a fully stocked inventory.
- Liaise with shipping agents to ensure smooth transactions.
- Liaise with warehouse to ensure that the delivered stock is correct and in acceptable condition.
- Input existing and new products into the database (dates, supplier details, quantities, prices, discounts, etc).

**Skills and Experience of a Manufacturing Buyer**:

- Prior experience in a similar procurement, purchasing, or buying role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiating skills.
- Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude.
- Good attention to detail.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
