**Overview**

**Requirements of the Buyer**
- Sourcing globally, ensuring best market value
- Rationalise suppliers, building a manageable vendor portfolio
- Introducing robust processes to ensure they are maximising cost saving opportunities.
- Working closely with engineering and production to ensure materials and parts are correctly sourced in line with technical specifications
- Ensuring stock availability whilst maintaining safety stock levels in line with order book
- Negotiating costs and SLA’s in line with business requirements
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong negotiation skills
- Have the ability to influence and drive best practice
- Be confident in communicating at all levels and willing to deal with end to end purchasing including administrative tasks
- The ability build collaborative supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost and lead times are in line with business objectives
- Ideally CIPS qualified
- Minimum 3 years Procurement experience, within a technical manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience of working with international supplier would be advantageous
- Ability to negotiate and agree contractual terms
