**Summary**:
The HR Assistant role is fundamental in overseeing employee relations, as well as maintaining policies, administrative systems, and executing routine tasks such as payroll and recruitment tasks.

**What You'll be Doing Each Day**:

- Manage expat processes including system maintenance, visa renewal, processes tax payments, and liaising with HR Hong Kong on expat queries as and when required
- Manage local and expat staff monthly payroll
- Oversee compensation and benefits including the administration of payments on a monthly basis re: Group Pension (with SW) monthly, private medical insurance, health screening, etc.
- Keep all HR related documentation up to date, both hard copies and electronic copies
- Manage employee relations
- Lead recruitment processes, liaising with external recruitment agencies and securing management and HQ approval. Ensure all new joiner and leaver administration is conducted in a timely manner
- Liaise with HQ in Hong Kong each quarter to complete internal quality control and any other documentation requests
- Provide administration services as required including ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, implementing office policies and procedures, and managing bookings for travel or meetings for employees and relevant visiting delegations
- Responsible for remaining current on UK law and policy changes, and reviewing policies on a regular basis
- Provide support for other departments and complete other tasks assigned by line managers, such as work related to financial responsibilities, as reasonably expected by line managers

**The Skills You'll Need to Succeed**:

- Fluent Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
- Working experience in an HR role as a generalist position; familiar with HR best practices and procedures and will be involved in advisory and administrative activity with work.
- Degree level education or equivalent qualifications (CIPD qualifications)
- Excellent organisational skills
- High professional standards
- Proactive and as a team player
- Flexible attitude to support the company as and when required
- Able to work independently
- Financial & Budgetary
