Join our devoted and supportive team of Social Care Workers at Cummal Mooar

As part of your role, you’ll provide high quality person-centred care and respond to residents’ needs on a daily basis.

Your day to day duties will include:

- Serving meals to residents
- Administering medication
- Escorting residents to appointments and assisting with activities
- Completing and reviewing paperwork, care plans and risk assessments
- Assisting residents to get up or go to bed, including personal care and bathing

This is a very rewarding career where you can really make a difference to the lives of vulnerable adults on the Isle of Man.

Shifts are all rota-based and will include weekends, bank holidays, days, evenings and night shifts.

**What can this role offer me?**

No two days are the same in this varied role - you could be taking residents out to social events and activities, appointments or assisting in their care at the Centre.

You’ll receive additional pay allowances for weekends, public holidays and unsociable hours including nights, which are essential for this role.

You don’t need any qualifications for this role and you’ll receive comprehensive on the job training. We’re really keen to support development, and you’ll have access to all the great courses the Isle of Man Government has to offer through LEAD, our Learning, Education and Development Service. If you’re new to working in social care, you’ll also be supported to obtain the QCF Level 2 qualification.

Your development will be supported and there are excellent opportunities to build a career in this profession - many of our Social Care Workers progress to be Senior Social Care Workers and then from this, you could become a Duty Manager.

A uniform will also be provided.
