**About the role**:
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Product Owner to become part of our Motors business and help develop and deliver our new platform strategy. We are embarking on a significant business transformation as we scale up our business. We need a top-notch Technical Product Owner to support our Platform Engineering team.

The platform team plays a pivotal role in improving Platform Health, supporting the overall automotive experience underpinning our business. We recognise that to deliver the best products and features for our customers we need a platform that can work effectively. We work collaboratively across a mix of product and centralised teams, together working towards a Product and Technology strategy.

Motors has a significant existing infrastructure, across Azure and Google Cloud. Our goal is to have a world class automotive technology with great developer experience. We are looking for people who can use their experience to help us move forward with our platform vision.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of our customers (Product Teams,

Engineers, Product Owners) and our own (Platform) needs and motivations
- Building, managing, and communicating the technical roadmap ensuring external

dependencies and our customers own roadmaps and priorities are considered.
- Maintaining a backlog of improvements, clearly describing how they support our

Technology strategy and negotiating with customers (internal) and Senior Technology

Leaders to prioritise these alongside the wider priorities
- Managing the platform “products” and functionality owned by the team through use of the

objectives and KPIs that you will help define
- Creating and validating business cases that underpin the product/initiative, with clear

definition of opportunity, costs, and benefit
- Initiating and/or undertaking analysis to highlight any impacts to systems or business

processes
- Working with engineers and other technical specialists to understand technology

limitations, recommendations, and implementation options
- Being accountable for requirements definition and delivery of solutions across your

product/initiatives
- Acting as a Scrum Master where needed

**Role requirements**:

- Experience and track record of delivering business impact
- Experience shaping and shipping a complex technology platform as a product in a

technology and data-led organisation
- Experiencing aligning stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, both internal to the

team as well as our internal customers and stakeholders
- Experience with Devops and Site Reliability Engineering principles and how they impact

product teams and engineers
- Experience with modern software development lifecycle as well infrastructure/platform

services, tools, and processes that enable it
- Experience measures clear, realistic, and timely goals.
- Experience with agile philosophy and scrum master skills
