**The Opportunity**:

- At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity within the Systems Engineering function for a People and Capability Lead to support our growing team. The Systems Engineering Function encompasses Systems Engineering, Training and Supportability specialists including safety, reliability, technical publications and more.As part of our growth strategy, we are creating new and exciting roles aimed at enhancing and transforming the way we operate. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team supporting the recruitment and capability development of this varied team for the Electronic Warfare and Major Air Programmes businesses based across several sites including Luton, Lincoln, Bristol and Southampton. The People and Capability Leads act as the focal point for managing and generating the supply plans including permanent and contract recruitment strategies.What we build is exciting, interesting and complex. From a diverse product portfolio of airborne RF sensing technologies, through to designing and developing integrated toolset solutions, with each programme at a different stage in its development lifecycle.- We are looking for someone passionate about our people and products; you will thrive in dynamic environments, with the ability to find resolutions.Given the nature of the work, we are able to offer custom working; however, some on-site working is expected.**What you will do**:

- You will support the function providing expertise on a range of the following people and capability focussed activities:
- Be responsible for the provision of resources & capability to each of the business sectors and Integrated Project Teams, by managing the delivery of the people, skills, tools, infrastructure and process to all projects, including Early Career intake, recruitment and in/outsourcing strategies.
- Management of the functional budget (including Training/Development plans as well as capital, tools and infrastructure requirements)
- Manage, improve and innovate the recruitment and capability processes within the function covering communications planning, on boarding, promotions, career development, and talent management to improve engagement and effectiveness.
- Working with the project teams to provide review of bid estimation, provision of tailored support to the design review processes, critical reviews of projects and deep dives as appropriate.
