**Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Manager - Waterloo**

We offer a unique opportunity in Groups, Meetings and Events Sales, for you to join our growing team and collection of premium hotels.

**Main responsibilities as the Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Manager**:
Working closely with the Senior Groups, Meeting & Events Sales Manager and Director of Groups, Meeting and Events Sales, your main role is to independently respond to and convert enquiries into proposals in a timely manner, liaising with stakeholders as necessary.

Juggle priorities, responsibility for several inboxes or portals and allocating enquiries within the team with the primary objective to achieve M&E, Groups and M&E rooms budgets for the hotels. Understand the meeting/event cycle and how to confidentially work through the processes.
- Completing tasks like confirming an event, handling client requests and ensuring post event follow up to confirm repeat business.
- Responsible for timely responses of all enquiries and yielding the diary effectively for all mediums event enquiries.
- Proactively responding to the various online enquiry portals such as Cvent, Venue Directory, Salesforce Communities. Proactively chases business. Understand the high, medium and low demand and competitor activity. Confidently stack business on second and third option on high demand dates and monitor.
- Engaging with clients/agents in relation to their enquiries.
- Flexible and adaptable when personalising client needs and priorities of the business; understands the importance of yielding, understands lead times and the demand calendar; The enquiries in the generic inboxes should be managed.
- Creating personalised proposals and responding efficiently to client and leadership feedback.
- Maximizing cross selling opportunities with other properties.
- Supporting the Senior Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Manager to lead and develop the Park Plaza blueprint culture with the team.
- Performing other related tasks and projects as assigned by management in a timely manner.
- Assisting your Line Manager to conduct 1-2-1 meetings with team members.
- Actively contributing to your immediate and wider hotel and regional teams, uses all forms of communication appropriate for each situation. Identifying improvements.
- Communicating effectively with both internal and external guests/clients/agents (including hotel colleagues) via written correspondence, phone and face to face; Understands and is familiar with the various systems used by the team such as the electronic signature system and ensures this is adhered to for all contracts.
- Ensuring that all activities are following national laws and regulations, management decisions and PPHE Hotel Groups operating policies, processes and procedures.
