Job Purpose The purpose of this post is to be a key member of staffof the Ripley Crisis Support Drop-In service, by coordinating all aspects of local service delivery, including line managing staff and volunteers, developing efficient and effective systems and processes, and ensuring the service is delivered reliably and to a high standard. Job Summary The Ripley Crisis Support Drop-In service is an inclusive and supportive out of hours community crisis support service. It provides a safe and welcoming alternative to A&E for any person who self-defines as needing immediate non-clinical help with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. The Local Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Ripley service.

This will include, for example, the line management of the Support Workers, supervising and supporting the volunteer team, coordinating the staff and volunteer rotas, ensuring all shifts have sufficient staff cover, leading staff one-to-ones and team meetings, ensuring stock levels are maintained, ensuring furnishings and equipment are clean and well maintained, collating and reporting on activity and data and outcomes, reporting staff overtime to the finance manager, responding to local enquiries, general service administration, liaising with the Service Lead, so that the service can deliver on its objectives. Main Duties and Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the Local Coordinator (Ripley) are to: 1. Work with Derbyshire Mind, the local team of Support Worker staff and volunteers, and local people with lived experience, to play a key part in the development and delivery of a quality crisis support service in Ripley. 2.

Line-manage the Support Workers including for example conducting line management meetings, authorising annual leave, conducting annual Individual Performance Review (IPR), provide emotional and wellbeing support to staff, carry out any performance management required, and so on. 3. Provide support and supervision to the Peer Support Volunteers, including for example, providing their necessary local training, understanding and supporting their goals, providing 1:1 and team support, providing emotional and wellbeing support. 4.

Create, coordinate, and communicate the staff and volunteer rotas at least 6 weeks in advance, ensuring any gaps caused by planned leave are covered. Respond to rota gaps, caused by unplanned leave such as sickness, swiftly and effectively to ensure cover is found and the service is unaffected. 5. Step in and provide short-term cover for the service shift(s) if sufficient Support Workers are unavailable due to sickness or unplanned leave.

6. Keep an accurate log of staff hours worked and report monthly overtime hours to the Finance Manager. 7. Ensure staff and volunteers attend their 6-weekly Reflective Practice Supervision sessions with our external provider, and that Derbyshire Mind is invoiced accordingly.

8. Assist in the recruitment, induction and training of new Support Workers, and lead the recruitment, induction and training of local Peer Support volunteers. 9. Provide an efficient and effective comprehensive administrative support to the team and service.

Proactively look for ways to continuously improve the service, and work with the Service Lead to implement improvements. 12. To assist the Service Lead in monitoring, planning budgets and expenditure, including holding responsibility for all cash handling in line with Derbyshire Minds financial policies, procedures and guidance (records, petty cash income and expenditure), and holding responsibility for all local service-related supplies, equipment, requisition and stock control. 13.

Hold responsibility for local health and safety in line with Derbyshire Minds Health and Safety policies, procedures and guidance, including for example, risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises issues. 16. Coordinate and manage the reimbursement of volunteer travel expenses in a timely manner in line with the expenses policy. 17.

Work positively as part of the local partnership(s), and the wider multi-disciplinary and multi-agency crisis alternatives teams across Derbyshire. 18. Facilitate and attend both internal and external meetings as required, representing the Ripley Crisis Support Drop-In service, Derbyshire Mind, and any Partners, and promoting the service. 19.

Play an integral role in instilling Derbyshire Minds values through the Crisis Support Drop-In service. 20. Hold responsibility for local awareness raising about the Ripley Crisis Support Drop-In service so that local organisations know what is on offer and how it works. 21.

Assist Derbyshire Minds Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator to develop and display effective resources, guides and marketing materials locally. 22. With support from the Service Lead, organise and facilitate regular focus groups, co-production, and engagement opportunities. 23.
