Lancaster, United Kingdom Lancaster University Full time

We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate to work on a project looking into the effects of stroke on biomechanical function and rehabilitation. You will work with Dr Philip Nagy and Dr Hannah Jarvis, and will be responsible for recruiting participants, conducting data collection using a mixed-methods approach, and analysing and interpreting relevant findings. Data collection will involve conducting physical tests and focus groups.

This post is part-time, fixed-term for a maximum period of 35 weeks (0.2 FTE). We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements including working week and days/hours worked, along with flexible start/finish times.

The post will commence on 1st October 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, for example in Sports & Exercise Science, Psychology or Biomedical Sciences, and will have an interest in stroke and rehabilitation research. Previous experience of working as part of a research team will be advantageous.

The Faculty provides a research environment that strongly supports the individual needs of each employee, promoting a healthy work-life balance. We are committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies on an individual basis, as well as the Athena SWAN Charter, which recognises and celebrates good employment practice undertaken to address gender equality in higher education and research.
