An inspirational not-for-profit organisation is looking for a life science graduate to work as a Publishing Assistant with scientists from the medical community on medical journals. This is a rare opportunity for a life science graduate to start an exciting career outside of a lab working in science communications. Alternatively, this role might also suit an experienced Publishing Assistant who’s looking to join an organisation with a wonderful culture, loads of flexibility for work/life balance and fantastic professional development.
The successful Publishing Assistant will get hybrid working split between the office and home, as well as flexi-time hours. You’ll also receive regular, comprehensive training, so this is the perfect opportunity to develop into a Scientific Publisher.
**The experience we need.**
- A life science degree or higher is essential
- Some commercial administration experience would be desirable
- Customer service experience would be a big plus
**The role.**
As the successful Publishing Assistant, you will work with scientists providing high-level administrative support to the publishing department, including peer review staff and the editorial boards. You’ll manage the peer review process and will regularly deal with author queries.
