Health Improvement Lead

Glasgow City HSCP is seeking to recruit a Health Improvement Lead Band 7 with a remit for Community Justice for NHSGG&C. This key post will provide expertise in addressing inequalities in health within the community justice field. Through specialist knowledge the postholder will provide influence and evidence base to community justice colleagues across NHSGG&C with a focus on maintaining and building relationships with Justice colleagues within our local Authority Justice structures. This includes at a regional and National level They will have a workplan which will include commissioning areas of research, project planning and implementation, training, reviewing and contributing to the evidence base both locally and nationally. Potholder will play a key contributing role to local, and regional community justice partnerships. The successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to improving health, reducing inequalities and delivering better outcomes. Educated to degree level (preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification), the post holder should have a proven track record of health improvement/public health experience, partnership working, operational management and a good understanding of public health priorities and health inequalities. The post holder is expected to fulfil the Standards for Public Health Practice (Health Improvement) at an Advanced level.
