The shift pattern for this position is Wed & Thursday 8.30 - 4.30pm. Friday 8.30-12.15. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join Glasgow City’s South Locality Health Improvement Team as a Health Improvement Senior. They will have responsibility for a range of health improvement programmes with the overall aim of improving health and reducing health inequalities in line with the HSCP strategic
plan and other locally and nationally identified priorities. The postholders will work within the HSCP and key partner agencies to contribute to the development and implementation plans for a range of health improvement work streams.

The successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to improving health and reducing inequalities. Educated
to degree level (preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification), the post holders should have health improvement/public health experience, partnership working, project planning and project management, operational management, Experience of working in one of the Team topics outlined above is essential.

They should have a good understanding of public health priorities and health inequalities. The post holders are expected to fulfil the Standards for Public Health Practice Health improvement) at a Foundation-Core level.
