**Main Areas of Responsibility**
Your responsibilities will include:

- Collecting money from students in connection with academy trips, uniforms or other necessary payments
- Ensuring all orders are processed through the academy’s accounting system
- Aiding teachers and budget holders in sourcing the best and most cost-effective resources
- Obtaining authorisation, coding and posting the purchase invoices and maintaining the purchase ledger
- Raising and issuing sales invoices and maintaining the debtor’s ledger, ensuring collection of monies owed on a timely basis
- Raising BACS payments for purchase invoices in accordance with payment run deadlines and ensuring correct approval process
- Making payments (grants and academy trips etc) and keeping appropriate records
- Reconciling the petty cash on a weekly basis and ensuring correct protocol is adhered to
- Academy banking and posting of bank receipts
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
- Dealing with queries both internal and external
- Ensuring an appropriate filing system is maintained

**Qualifications & Experience**
We would like to hear from you if you have:

- Qualifications to Level 3 or above (A level or equivalent)
- Knowledge of a variety of financial recording systems
- At least one year's experience working in a finance department
- Experience of working within financial controls
- Experience of assisting with budget setting and budget management
- Oracle experience preferred but not essential
