The role of a Young Persons Advisor is to provide a qualitative assessment processes ongoing support, advice and
guidance to promote the capacity of each young person to develop the skills necessary to live independently. Enhance
the ability for all young people leaving care, enabling them to realise their full potential and become successful in all
aspects of their lives. Provide a targeted, outcome focussed service to children and young people who are legally
defined as a care leaver and therefore entitled to services.

Our role as Corporate Parents in Cheshire West and Chester is both a privilege and a job we take seriously, therefore
opportunity to engage in bespoke trauma informed practice and motivational interview training to ensure the highest
quality of care and planning for our young people.

The Supporting Independence Team works across the local authority area including Ellesmere Port, Chester, Winsford,
role which means there will be a mixture of office and home working, depending on the needs of the service. The main
office base for this post will be The Portal, Ellesmere Port.
