Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
**Duties**:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning clients
- Implement behavior management techniques when necessary
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
- Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or in hospice care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques, including medication administration and patient care
- Understanding of dementia care and assisted living principles
**Salary**: £10.90-£14.40 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
