To undertake diabetic foot screening for patients with support from senior staff following in-house competency training To develop skills through training to enable performance of circulatory and neurological tests, to record information collected on IT system and refer to podiatrists in accordance with guidance. To communicate effectively using non-verbal, verbal written and electronic means To liaise and develop rapport with patients/clients, carers, colleagues, and where appropriate, outside agencies under guidance of senior therapist. To work alongside other professionals to ensure effective pathways of care followed Possess IT skills to data input. To make appropriate referrals to other agencies/practitioners.

To ensure a standard of patient care is provided including implementing clinical standards relevant to the work undertaken. To participate in MDT meetings as appropriate. To be responsible for safe use of equipment used in your work area and to adhere to the appropriate service policies. To incorporate acquired knowledge in to the working practice as appropriate, following discussion with the Community Diabetes Clinical lead.

To participate in in-service training programmes. To manage self by adherence to Trust policies, procedures and protocols and maintaining Essential Service training in accordance with Trust policy.
