We have an exciting opportunity for a
**Community Wellbeing & Engagement Practitioner** to join our East Lancashire Services You will be based within community settings, finding and supporting people who are worried about their drug or alcohol use but not in treatment with Inspire. You will work in partnership with other health/care providers as part of an Integrated Health and Wellbeing model, to deliver a range or interventions, work in partnership to provide holistic packages of support. A key priority for this role is to identify and offer support to individuals who have a treatment need that is not currently being met.

**Where**: East Lancashire - base to be agreed

**Hours**: 37.5hrs per week

**Salary**: £26,393.77 - £30,316.74 dependent on experience

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Increase the number of people accessing treatment by actively finding the people who need support, initiating contact and building trust and rapport
- Work with lived experience recovery services to support building relationships and develop the coordination of care aligned to the drug strategy
- Provide screening, triage, assessment and brief advice to people who are worried about their alcohol and/or drug use
- Manage a caseload of clients, coordinating their treatment and care as required
- As required deliver training on alcohol and drugs to local community providers
- Develop links with identified specialist acute services and provide in reach to hospital wards including Gastroenterology/Hepatology; Orthopaedic-falls prevention services; specialist clinics (i.e. Hypertensive Disease); observation ward; A&E
- Work flexibly to maximise service accessibility, including some evenings and weekends
- Work flexibly across operational sites to meet the needs and demands of the service.

**About you**:

- Experience of working with substance misuse issues and a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services
- A clear understanding of issues relating to underrepresented groups in drug services and their engagement with Services
- Understanding of Outreach practices and working within a community delivery model
- Knowledge or experience of CBT, Relapse Prevention or Brief Solution Focussed Therapy
- Ability to assess and care plan service users and formulate written reports as necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of engaging with a wide variety of individuals
- Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure
