We are currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Clerk to the University Council, who will join the University at an exciting time as we embark upon a period of ambitious growth and development.

The Assistant Clerk supports the University Secretary in their role as Clerk to the University Council and the Chairs of the University Council and its sub-committees, and, more widely, the work of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office in a range of activities to support effective governance and decision making across the University. This includes: governance and company secretary responsibilities, support with day-to-day governance and legal regulatory matters, policy development, implementation and support, coordinating papers, and providing advice to the University Council and Executive in discharging their responsibilities for the effective leadership, management and governance of the University.

The role should be particularly attractive to someone seeking to develop a successful career in Higher Education administration and management. It is an excellent opportunity to work closely with members of the University’s Leadership Team, alongside the Executive Assistant team within the Vice-Chancellor’s Directorate, and to work with members of the Governing Body.
