Are you a highly motivated individual with knowledge and experience in food and safety? Do you have a passion for helping businesses comply with food and safety legislation, and for the wider environmental health agenda?

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our Environmental Health & Public Protection Service, where you can use your skills to make a real difference. We regulate a wide range of both food businesses and workplaces, monitoring compliance, undertaking investigations, and enforcing the law, whilst embracing novel approaches and solutions. You will be a key member of our team and be involved in all aspects of Food and Safety work, with opportunities to work in our teams delivering Environmental Protection and Housing Standards.

You will be given every opportunity to take on responsibility, developing projects and making full use of your skills.

Essential requirements for this role include:

- A BSc or MSc in Environmental Health.
- EHRB or Environmental Health Practitioner Registration (or ability to gain this within 6 months.)
- Experience of inspecting food businesses and workplaces.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise.
- Assertiveness and ability to work under pressure.
- Investigative, research, analytical and critical thinking skills.
