**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has occurred to join CWP's Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team as a Family Support Worker for 12 months fixed term to cover maternity leave (30 hours a week). We are seeking an individual with a genuine interest in working with women and families in the perinatal period, who has excellent communication and multi-agency liaison skills and a has a good knowledge of safeguarding. Experience of working in the Perinatal Mental Health field is desirable but not essential.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will actively work with families and carers in their home and in the community working flexibly and will offer practical support and advice based on the identified needs of service users and their children.

The post is fixed term for 12 months to cover maternity leave and for 30 hours a week. The team's core working hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Access to transport for work purposes is required.

Successful applicants will be located within the CWP Team, the main base is currently Coronation Road Hub, Ellesmere Port, however as the team cover the whole of the CWP footprint and four maternity units at:

- Arrowe Park Hospital
- Wirral, Countess of Chester Hospital - Chester, Leighton Hospital - Crewe, Macclesfield District & General Hospital - Macclesfield, the successful post holder may be expected to travel across the region and will be part of our agile working team. This specific post's caseload will predominantly be in the West Cheshire area.
