Assistant Perinatal Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has occurred to join CWP's Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team as a Family Support Worker (30 hours a week). We are seeking an individual with a genuine interest in working with women and families in the perinatal period, who has excellent communication and multi-agency liaison skills and a has a good knowledge of safeguarding. Experience of working in the Perinatal Mental Health field is desirable but not essential.
The post holder will actively work with families and carers in their home and in the community working flexibly and will offer practical support and advice based on the identified needs of service users and their children.
The team's core working hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
Access to transport for work purposes is required.
Successful applicants will be located within the CWP Team, the main base is currently Coronation Road Hub, Ellesmere Port, however as the team cover the whole of the CWP footprint and four maternity units at : - Arrowe Park Hospital
- Wirral, Countess of Chester Hospital - Chester, Leighton Hospital - Crewe, Macclesfield District & General Hospital - Macclesfield, the successful post holder may be expected to travel across the region and will be part of our agile working team. This specific post's caseload will predominantly be in the Wirral area.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.
New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
