We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to women and families in the perinatal period.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to the needs of new and expectant mothers in a timely and compassionate manner, providing specialist care and support through pregnancy and post-natally.
- Co-ordinate a defined caseload of women to promote well-being, mother-infant relationships, and reduce risk during a vulnerable time for women's mental health.
- Undertake assessments in various settings, with a strong emphasis on risk assessment, robust mental health care planning, and safeguarding.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in maternity services, health visiting, children's centres, and children's services to provide comprehensive care.
- Registered with an appropriate professional body (e.g. Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Registered General Nurse).
- Training to level 3 in Safeguarding Children and Young People: roles and competencies for Health Care Staff or willingness to undertake training.
- Specialist knowledge in perinatal mental health or willingness to undertake training.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of professionals from various settings.
- Ability to manage risk, plan creatively, and work independently and as part of a team.
