We are a modern firm of Chartered Certified Accountants offering a friendly personal service to businesses and individuals in Salisbury and the surrounding area.

We provide a range of business, accountancy and taxation services to a number of clients in the area.

We are looking to employ an experienced full time Accounts Assistant to join our busy accountancy practice in Salisbury.

Salary - dependant on experience

Office based - not working remotely. COVID -19 - Social distancing guidelines in place.

**Key responsibilities**:
Liaison with clients;
- Record income and expenditure in accounts package & ledgers;
- Bank reconciliations;
- Prepare and file VAT returns;
- Reconcile control accounts;
- Preparation of accounts for clients including small and medium sized privately owned limited companies, LLP’s, partnerships and sole traders
- Liaising with HMRC and other regulatory bodies
- Other administration and book-keeping work as requested.

**Skills and Experience**:
Qualified by experience, AAT with minimum 2 years relevant experience

Previous experience working in an accountancy practice preferred

Sage and excel software essential. Other accountancy software experience an advantage

To be self-motivated and have a willingness to take responsibility;
Demonstrable discretion and trustworthiness;
Strong attention to detail;
To be able to work independently and to use your own initiative;
To have good communication skills;
To working as part of a team

Sage payroll experience for cover would be an advantage

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £18,000.00 per year
