Responsible for:
Providing customers with a high level of customer satisfaction. Working within a supermarket car park your duties will include providing car park management on a day-to-day basis as well as forming part of the customer service function. Duties will include aiding the public in the use of the car park generally. You will be required to be courteous at all times, wear full company uniform, and be well-informed on the car park details (e.g. tariffs, opening hours, spaces available etc).

Key duties:

- Undertaking regular patrols of the car park.
- Issuing the appropriate notices (PCNs - Parking Charge Notices) to any non-compliant vehicles, using a handheld terminal.
- Carrying out first line maintenance on any payment equipment onsite.
- Keeping the car park clean and tidy.
- Assisting customers with both parking and non-parking queries, providing excellent levels of customer service.
- Car marshalling, when required.
- Assisting the branch with any additional ad-hoc duties.
- Completing and submitting all necessary reports and returns and ensuring the security of all takings, monies, equipment and stock entrusted to the site in accordance with company policies.
- Any other duties appropriate to the tasks and responsibilities of the job.

Person Specification:
You must be able to work using your own initiative and be able to provide a professional and approachable point of contact for all customers and clients at all times whilst carrying out your duties. You will ensure that your personal appearance meets the standards expected by the company and the client, at all times.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to walk and stand for often prolonged periods of time when patrolling.
- Good communication skills with people at all levels.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure within set guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to ensure that the standards of quality and customer care are achieved.
- Good standard of literacy and effective written communication skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills in particular the ability to provide clear advice to customers.
- Basic technical experience, with the ability to use a smart phone/hand-held device for enforcement purposes
- The ability to deal with conflict whilst remaining calm and polite at all times
- The ability to work under own initiative and be a self-motivator
- Awareness of Health and Safety and the importance to adhere to safety rules and regulations

Working Friday 10.00-16.00 / Saturday 10.00-16.00 and then alternate day in week mon-thur 10.00-16.00

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
