Programme Administrator

Islington Training Hub is recruiting an experienced part-time administrator to join our team to manage the administration of our training and workforce programmes. The Programme Administrator will play a key role in supporting both Islington Training Hub and other primary care organisations in Islington and across North Central London (NCL) to deliver activities that support the primary and community care workforce. Working across different programmes, the Programme Administrator will manage various tasks, including maintaining local communication channels, such as the fortnightly bulletin, shared inbox and updating the website and SharePoint spaces. Additionally, they will coordinate training sessions and webinars and provide day-to-day administrative support to the team as required.
As part of a small but dynamic team, this role will work closely with Islington Training Hubs Clinical Lead, Workforce, Development and Training Lead, and broader programme team. This role is ideally suited to someone who is organised, motivated, a good communicator and is looking for varied responsibilities. The Programme Administrator will report to the Workforce, Training and Development Lead, with accountability to the Programme Manager for Workforce and Training. Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for the following activity on behalf of Islington Training Hub: Work flexibly as part of the team to provide day-to-day administrative support to Islington Training Hub and relevant programmes of work.
Organise and facilitate webinars and training, including scheduling, promotion, and technical support. Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring messages are customised as needed and distribution lists are up to date. Manage the creation and distribution of a fortnightly Training Hub bulletin, including finding content, formatting, and dissemination to stakeholders. Maintain updates to Islington Training Hub website and SharePoint sites as instructed.
Maintain accurate records and databases for Training Hub programmes. This includes keeping organised records and files. Manage the Islington Training Hub inbox. This includes responding to queries and requests within a timely and professional manner.
Provide support at meetings as needed, including preparing agendas, sending calendar invitations, taking minutes, and distributing relevant documentation. We harness clinical leadership to shape our workforce and service improvement priorities, building connections between primary care, local council, the voluntary sector, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to collaborate effectively and deliver our programmes. About Islington GP Federation Islington GP Federation (IGPF) is a growing organisation representing 31 practices; we have established ourselves as a leader in new ways of working, including running Islingtons extended access primary care services (I: HUB) as well as supporting the Islington Primary Care Networks (PCNs). Our current range of services includes I: HUB, Community Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Integrated Community Gynaecology, practice-based pharmacists and a range of practice support mechanisms.
IGPF works very closely with a range of partners including the regional commissioning group, NHS England, Healthy London Partnership, Public Health, local hospitals such as UCLH and the Whittington Health and the London Borough of Islington. IGPF is the host organisation for the Primary Care Network (PCN) workforce and the Islington Training Hub, and has been working for over two years to create training and development programmes that meet the needs of staff working in primary and community care settings.
