About the role The NCL Senior Administrator for Placements will be responsible for supporting the expansion of clinical placements in primary care learning environments for the five boroughs of North Central London (NCL) (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington).

**This role will lead on three main areas of work**: 1. Support the alignment of educational audit processes for pre-registration and post-registration nursing with NHSEs Quality Framework standards for approved learning environments in primary care. 2. Working with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and relevant training providers, adapt student placement models to promote primary care as a learning environment and grow the number of nursing and AHP placements across North Central London (NCL).

3. Develop and maintain reports on the total number of clinical placements across NCL for a range of professions to monitor educator capacity and ensure high-quality placements are maintained. This role will work closely with the NCL Faculty and Quality team to promote professional development opportunities for educators to ensure educators have the skills to deliver safe and effective learning. The Placement Development Project Manager will cultivate strong working relationships with other NCL programme and project leads, in particular the NCL apprenticeships, PCAN and T-Level to coordinate placement strategies across NCL.

This role will report to the Programme Manager for Islington Training Hub, with accountability to the Programme Director for NCL Training Hub. Main duties and responsibilities Working with the NCL Faculty and Quality team and NCL Nursing programme, align Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) audit requirements with the NHS England Quality Standards framework. Under the direction of the Programme Manager and Clinical Leads, manage the delivery and general administrative support of all activities to support the clinical placement expansion work programme for NCL. Develop and maintain records to monitor supervision, training, and placement numbers across NCL for all workforce professions.

Work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to broaden the placement experience for learners in primary care, including: oNorth Central London Training Hub leads (across all boroughs) oGP practices and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) o Health and social care regulators oHigher Education Institutes (HEIs) and other training providers. oNHS England Workforce and Training (formally Health Education England) oOther primary and community care providers as required. Provide regular project updates on a consistent basis to inform progress. This includes contributing to monthly reporting for NCL Training Hubs Joint Operational Group (JOG) on clinical placement activity.

Work with Borough Training Hubs to identify practices and PCNs willing to host trainees, liaising with HEIs on placements set-up and schedules. Keep accurate data on current and future educators and sites for all professions supporting learners across North Central London, including assessors and supervisors. Produce quarterly reports on placement activity, including when audits are due, to monitor performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the work programme. Produce high quality written materials to promote primary care careers and the sector to expand student placement models.

About NCL Faculty and Quality programme The North Central London (NCL) Training Hub Faculty and Quality team are responsible for managing the education, training and workforce development of educators for all professions who support learners in primary and community care. This includes the approval process for new educators and learning environments mandated by NHS Englands Quality Standards framework and establishing NCL Training Hubs Education Faculty.
