We are looking for a Patient and Carer Engagement Facilitator who it passionate about amplifying the voice of service users and carers and involving them in the work of the Trust, to join the Patient and Carer Experience and Engagement team.

The team provides strategic direction and support for Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I). The team’s role is to ensure our patients/service users, those with lived experience of mental health, and carers are regularly engaged with and involved in the planning, delivery, reviewing or restructuring of services to help deliver service improvements. We are working towards a shift in culture that fully recognises the importance of service user/carer participation and co-production, using a planned, strategic, and sustainable approach.

**The role will include**:

- Facilitating and supporting patient/service user and carer engagement and experience initiatives and work streams
- Provide administrative support to the team
- Coordinate efforts to obtain meaningful feedback from patients/service users and carers and share actions taken
- Support governance of patient/service user and carer involvement, engagement and experience.

**Some of the key tasks in this role will be**:

- To act as the primary point of contact for experience and engagement team, for patients/service users and carers who are involved with the Trust, or who would like to get involved.
- Support the team to identify and collaborate with key organisational and local stakeholders to influence, grow and co-produce involvement and engagement opportunities.
- To be responsible for engagement and involvement communications and promotion. Ensuring that information and opportunities are shared as appropriate with a wide range of stakeholders, reaching a diverse audience, to support our widening participation work.
- To act as a resource to staff regarding all aspects of patient/service user and carer engagement and involvement.
- To provide specialist knowledge on involvement and engagement to colleagues. Supporting them to embrace co-production and helping them to overcome barriers to involvement and new ways of working.
