Senior Care Assistant/team Leader

McCarthy Stone are looking for a professional Senior Care Assistant to join their team at their prestigious development, Wainwright Court in Kendal.
Wainwright Court consists of 60 stylish one and two-bedroom retirement apartments, exclusive to the over 70s and is conveniently located in the historic market town of Kendal. These stunning retirement apartments incorporate intelligent design, giving you gorgeous, yet practical living spaces.
This is not traditional care, this is better
Base salary: £13.56 per hour day rate and £11.25 sleeping night rate per hour plus additional pay (see below)
Hours: 33.5 hours
Our day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or between 16:15 to 09:30.
Our night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00am
Our Senior Care Assistant sleep between 23:00pm and 07:00am providing emergency support only to our homeowners throughout that period.

About you:
- You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual with experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
- Keen to take on the responsibility of managing the security of the development, looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners, and overseeing the Care and Support teams.
- Able to co-ordinate and facilitate activities that help strengthen the community spirit within the development.
- Driven to continue to grow their skills and will want to lead by example and think on their feet.
- Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
