Deputy Team Leader

Anord Mardix are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.
As part of our companies continued growth and expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our Switchgear department at our Castle Mills site.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities**
- Liaising with the Team Leader on workload and prioritisation
- Assisting in identifying defects and negotiating a solution
- Supporting the Team Leader in the daily running of the team
- Offering support, guidance, and leadership to other team members
- Motivating and organising staff
- Developing the team to be a cohesive group and work effectively together
- Assisting the Team Leader in the distribution of work among staff
- Inputting into planning, instructing, and negotiating within the team or with Management
- Helping to identify and deliver training requirements
- Ensuring the Health and Safety Policy is followed
- Covering Team Leader duties when required:
**In The Absence of the Team Leader**:
- Assess work / instructions received from Management
- Plan, organise and delegate work to appropriate staff
- Instruct team members
- Negotiate with Management to ensure team has necessary resources to achieve deadlines
- Monitor progress of work
- Overall responsibility for quality of work
- Identify training needs and train new staff
- Authorise holidays and absences & Assign overtime cover
- Provide feedback to team
**Skill Requirements**
- Knowledge of LV Switchgear & Control gear Assemblies
- Flexibility to work when required and reliability to honour working commitments
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually
