An opportunity has arisen in the Housing Maintenance Section for a Housing Operations Assistant based at Hawks Green Depot.

If you are interested in this opportunity, you should have experience of working in social housing in a customer focused environment, with resource and scheduling systems and allocation of physical resources to meet demand. Preferably experience of working in a busy environment, dealing with trade operatives and people from different backgrounds and skills sets.

You will need to have excellent IT skills and should be able to use Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook in order to create reports and correspondence. Having knowledge of planning and scheduling systems such as NEC Housing and Kirona Mobile is desirable.

In addition, you will also be capable of effective communication with people at all levels of the organisation and externally and be an inclusive team player who can work collaboratively and achieve performance and results with others.

You should also have the ability to recognise and deal with complex issues and make robust decisions in demanding situations.

You will have the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice and have a proven track record demonstrating successful negotiation, persuasion and problem solving skills.

You should hold GCSE’s at Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent academic or vocational experience.

Experience of finance processes, in particular ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner to ensure payments are made would be advantageous.
