**JOB OVERVIEW**

The Student Support Coordinator (Enrichment) is a key role within the Progression Support Team, providing support to students to ensure they have a positive experience, coordinating events and activities and encouraging student engagement, to support their progression and transition to university life.

The post holder will coordinate the establishment of student forums and committees and facilitate their operation. They will also be responsible for coordinating a varied schedule of enrichment activities, including events, clubs and societies and trips and visits.

The Student Support Coordinator (Enrichment) will also support the planning and implementation of induction activities.

In addition, the post holder will assist the wider Progression Support Team to ensure that students are appropriately supported for the duration of their studies, in particular through the transition to university life.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

To coordinate and carry out all activities in relation to student enrichment, including:
**Events and Activities**
- To research, plan, coordinate and implement suitable and attractive activities and events for international students, engaging with students regarding potential events and encouraging participation and attendance
- To develop and maintain relationships with staff and key stakeholders
- To promote and publicise all events, managing and printing the production of all promotional materials
- Coordinate trips and visits, work closely with academic colleagues and ensure all events are organised in line with ISC policies and procedures
- To coordinate an attractive schedule of clubs and societies at the ISC and promote Durham University clubs and societies
- To facilitate post-event review to improve the student experience, producing detailed process guides that underpin each event
- To assist in the coordination of transition events and visit days, working closely with the Progression Support Team and Durham University
- To assist in the coordination of the college allocation process. This includes organising college briefings, the college allocation fair, and visits to the colleges
- To coordinate sports development activities in collaboration with Durham University
- To conduct and facilitate student/agent tours.

**Student Volunteering and Representatives**
- Coordinate student forums and committees, manage the nomination and election processes of student representatives, train and maintain communication with student representatives, and facilitate the operation of student forums, events, and committees
- To lead in setting up student volunteering opportunities for students with local organisations
- To facilitate and attend Student and Staff Liaison Committee meetings, ensuring accurate minutes are taken and agreed actions implemented.
- To lead the partnership with Durham University Student Union, in particular, the running of the Durham ISC Society

**Induction**
- To assist with the planning and implementation of induction activities
- Coordinate a selection of enrichment activities during the induction period, including campus tours, competitions, and events.
- Organise induction events and activities for students and liaise with key stakeholders regarding arrangements.

**Marketing and Social Media**
- To work closely with the Marketing Team regarding all ISC events and activities, ensuring events are shared on social media
- To support the Marketing Team with film, photo shoots and interviews with students and staff.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Level 3 qualification (Desirable)
- Experience working in a pressurised environment (Essential)
- Experience working in administration (Essential)
- Event management experience (Essential)
- Experience of working with students in an education environment (Desirable)
