**About Regional Delivery (RD)**

RD is a large, complex and geographically dispersed operation within the DIO covering circa. 58,000 assets, across over 500 sites and 275,000 Ha of freehold and leasehold estate in the UK and a further 580,000 Ha overseas; with a multitude of £multi-million contracts to manage. We deliver soft and hard Facilities Management (FM) services - building, maintaining, and servicing - across the majority of MODs built assets in the UK and overseas; hard and soft FM services across MODs Training Estate, including feeding, accommodation, range bookings, targetry support, management of the rural training estate and tenanted estates; administration of UK and Overseas utility contracts, bill payments, and recoveries; and management of the USVF Built Estate comprising c.4503 assets.

**About South East Region and Private Finance Initiatives (PFIs)**

South East Region and PFIs (SERP) is one of the main delivery areas of the DIO delivering Hard Facilities Management (HFM), Soft Facilities Management (SFM) and extensive construction programmes. With an area stretching from the Thames Estuary across to Oxfordshire and South to Portsmouth it includes the complexities of the Central London Estate, the strategic importance of RAF Brize Norton and the history and reputation of the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. Hard Facilities Management is delivered through a single contract for the whole Region and Soft Facilities Management is delivered through two sector leading Soft Services contracts. Having day to day contact with our customers we focus on delivery of outputs and providing cogent estate advice.

The eleven PFI contracts include major military Garrisons, provision of water supply to buildings and other specialist establishments. The PFI contracts are well founded and mature. Each contract is managed by a dedicated team.

**Summary of the Role**

Within SERP, the Regional Support Team (RST) focuses on supporting the delivery of these services to establishments across the Region in accordance with wider roles and responsibilities of the DIO enabling functions and business functions. The postholder will sit within the Assurance function in the RST and will engage with a diverse range of team members and other stakeholders across both SERP and RST.

The role will work closely with the Assurance, Performance, and Compliance team leaders as well as technical, cost, and programming team members in the RST. The role will support all Assurance work and act as focal point on all assurance matters within the region.

**Key responsibilities of the role**:

- Ensuring SERP adhere and conform with all agreed DIO TLB processes and operating procedures, particularly those which are detailed under the key infrastructure process for Assurance including the Estate Management Practitioners Guide (EM02).
- Work with the Industry Partners (IP) and DIO colleagues managing IP interfaces to co-ordinate and implement assurance activities ensuring delivered services and works are undertaken in accordance with regulations.
- Identify, analyse, and report trends, preparing action plans where appropriate, to inform the authority on the status of a statutory compliant estate.
- Responsible for aiding the Assurance Manager in building new techniques to increase conformity across region: developing operating procedures, using compliance data, and improving asset data
