My client is creating and delivering events and is seeking an **Events Assistant** to join their team. The purpose of this job is to provide Defence Sectors with business-to-business information through the form of conferences. Your main responsibilitywill be to research, write and produce business conferences. That is a hybrid, permanent hire in a positive, collaborative and open-minded environment and they are based in Central London.

**The Events Assistant will**:

- Produce each event to the highest quality possible within 30 days, working to the specifications outlined and adhering to the requirements of the production schedule;
- Ensure data is requested and received from all speakers and workshop leaders and added to the internal database daily
- Invite a minimum of 80 potential speakers per event
- Maximise event profitability
- Work with Marketing, checking all marketing material relevant to your conferences, advising them on how best to attract potential delegates, and making suggestions of associations, societies, and journals suitable for external marketing activity. Providea mid-production marketing brief to add any developments or refinements to the initial research brief.

**Skills and requirements for **Events Assistant**:

- A commercial outlook on the industry
- Interests in politics, defence, history, and public relations;
- The ability to deal with senior ranking directors and public sector individuals on a one-to-one basis whether face to face or by telephone
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The ability to assimilate information quickly and effectively
