Full flexibility required at all times

**Salary**:£23,949 to £26,282 (full time equivalent)

**Purpose**:
To develop and maintain successful partnerships with corporate supporters, specifically through donations, sponsorship, employee fundraising and events, inline with the Fundraising Strategy.

**Principal Tasks**:

- To manage corporate partnerships to secure income for Blythe House Hospicecare & Helen’s Trust
- To research, approach and secure new corporate partnerships
- To work with the wider fundraising team to deliver and fulfil corporate partnerships

**Communications**:

- Contact and visit local businesses to promote ways to support the hospice
- Be a representative of Blythe House Hospicecare & Helen’s Trust and speak at local business events about the work of the hospice
- Liaise with supporters who are fundraising to ensure they have everything they need and attend events to support, where appropriate, including cheque presentations
- Contact supporters who set up a Just Giving page to provide support for their fundraising
- Liaise with Marketing and Communications to manage external requests for publicity for fundraising events and activities that are being undertaken on behalf of the hospice
- Support the Marketing & Communications Officer in maintaining online fundraising platforms, social media feeds and associated communication tools.

**Fundraising**:

- Grow income from Corporate Fundraising through phoning and visiting local businesses and groups, supporting existing supporters and promoting new fundraising initiatives
- Identify, secure and develop new corporate partnership opportunities, focusing on Charity of the Year partnerships, corporate donations, sponsorship opportunities, employee fundraising, payroll giving and gifts in kind
- Facilitate corporate engagement events with the aim of increasing brand awareness amongst local businesses and on-boarding more corporate supporters
- Maintain and grow the Blythe House Hospicecare and Helen’s Trust Business Club and all that it entails.
- Research, plan and implement new fundraising initiatives
- Support our fundraising groups and supporters and generate publicity for their activities
- Support our corporate donors and encourage their support and participation in our events and appeals
- Manage Just Giving and other on-line giving sites for corporate events, and ensure that donors and participants are thanked in a timely and appropriate manner
- Increase tax efficient giving and matched funding across all donations and increase our knowledge and understanding of donor
- Foster new relationships and maintain existing relationships with corporate donors to encourage regular/long term giving.
- Utilise and continue to update the fundraising database with records of all communications with donors and potential supporters.

**Fundraising & Communications Strategy**:

- Support the Fundraising Manager to deliver a Fundraising & Communications Strategy
- Develop long term relationships with supporters through outstanding supporter care
- Ensure all corporate fundraising policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current legislation and the Fundraising Code of Conduct
- Establish good processes and measures to ensure that our activities deliver against objectives and conform to the highest standards of regulations and procedures
- Invest in new ideas and innovation, continually scanning the external environment.

**Financial**:

- Ensure all supporters are thanked in an appropriate and timely manner and their donations are administered in line with fundraising procedures
- Meet income and expenditure targets on corporate accounts managed
- Handle general telephone and personal enquiries regarding donations or other fundraising issues
- Respond to all donors appropriately with warmth and compassion.

**Other**:

- Work alongside and in co-operation with the Income Generation Manager and other fundraising, administrative and clinical staff
- Work within the hospice policies and procedures contributing to the delivery of an effective fundraising and communications service that promotes our mission, vision and purpose
- Be aware of and comply with all relevant hospice policies and procedures including those relating to health and safety, fire safety, data protection, IT and standing financial instructions
- Maintain personal and professional development in order to meet the changing demands of the role
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of charity legislation and government initiatives relating to the non-profit making sector and work to the Fundraising Regulator ‘Codes of Practice’ and General Data Protection Regulation.
