**Overview**

We have an opening for a Quality Coordinator to join our Quality Team based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. You'll be joining a team that has a global reach in an exciting phase of transformation as we partner with customers, internal teams, and our parent company Alstom, to advance our approach to supplier quality across the world.

The role is to support and lead Nomads supplier management activities and ensure Nomad improves, drives and monitors supplier performance and improvement. The role would be the focal point for all supplier management activity in Nomad.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

The main areas of responsibility are to:

- Manage and coordinate all supplier issues of noncompliance, design deficiencies and operational issues globally for Nomad
- Coordinate and mature the Nomad FAI/FAT process and execution in coordination with suppliers and manufacturers
- Review supplier performance on a live basis and drive continuous improvement with all suppliers globally
- Support wider quality projects in the QHSE Department
- Control and assist on all NCP cases Nomad has and drive close out and corrective supplier remedial actions
- Monitor and document supplier delivered performance for all projects and live service management projects
- Conduct supplier audits of key suppliers and manufacturers globally for Nomad
- Continually update all supplier information and records - identifying areas of weakness and gaps to fill
- Be the focal point of contact with all key internal and external stakeholders for supplier management
- Support the QHSE Department in aspects of quality control and assurance to supplier and procurement related activities
- Support and collaborate with the Product Management Team in Nomad to drive product compliance and processes with our key suppliers
- Perform internal audits to support our other Quality officer in executing the business audit plan.

**Qualification and Experience Requirements**:

- Member of CQI
- IRCA Approved auditor
- Experience of ERP systems and SharePoint systems
- Quality related qualifications - CQI or other accredited provider as appropriate
- Lead Auditor Trained to ISO 9001:2015 standard, also OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
- Knowledge of process mapping and business management systems via formal qualification
- Compelling Presentation and delivery skills
- Experience of working with diverse and multiple suppliers globally
- Experience of working on monitoring systems and performance reporting
- Ability to review KPIs and assess supplier’s performance, capability and when needed drive improvement
- Some experience of planning and running projects.
- Experience of risk management and monitoring
- Experience of investigating and advising on quality / product / production issues
- Experience of dealing with the needs of a diverse workforce, including a range of skills and roles.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Experience of handling an ever-changing list of priorities and workloads with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to travel at short notice for undefined periods to meet the business needs
- Clean driving license required
- Second languages will be seen as advantageous to this role
